It is true that the game has been tweaked a bit. The most significant change is in the passing, with what EA calls an innovative new system.
The process is as follows. A teammate is waiting to receive the ball that you have. The player in possession points in the general direction of the intended recipient and presses the pass button.
The ball may go in the general direction of your teammate, depending on how long you push the button. In theory, this is a positive development.
The reality is that a ball to the feet quite often suffices, rather than a distorted through ball of some sort.
