“MASAGORO” is a horror-type exploring game for single player, written in first-person.
In the game, players explore an abandoned Ryokan (Japanese-style hotel) called Masagoro, and the past of Masagoro is revealed by finding various clues in the story.
Story background:
One day, Meshii-village’s protagonist remembered an abandoned Ryokan he had once seen while working there.
It piqued his interest to discover abandoned buildings, so he went to the place.
It’s a Ryokan (Japanese-style hotel) that’s abandoned:
Based on the samples of Japanese ruined hotels already existing and the advices from the explorers of abandoned hotels, this Ryokan is designed in the style of the early Showa period (1926-1989).
